Clinical Counseling Associates of Kansas City is now offering a parenting class. The class is two hours in length and costs $50 per participant. Topics include education on Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) Framework, Conscious Discipline, importance of partner communication, practical skills to connect with your child(ren), and how self-care is vital for parents. The class is taught by CCA intern Noel Vickery. If you or someone you know will benefit from this class, contact CCA get signed up. Preregistration is required.

ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASS

Clinical Counseling Associates of Kansas City is now offering an anger management class for adolescents. The class is two hours in length and costs $50 per participant. Topics include identifying anger triggers, managing outbursts, coping skills, and healing from pain caused by anger. This will be an interactive class taught by CCA therapist Eric Hansen. MENTAL WELLNESS SKILLS GROUP

CCA is now offering a Mental Wellness Skills Group. This group is an 8 week series focused on the development of skills in the areas of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Participants will learn and develop practical life skills in a supportive group setting and will be provided with materials related to each concept followed by group discussions. Participants will learn how to manage painful emotions and stay in the present moment while maintaining healthy and fulfilling relationships. This group is for individuals age 18 and older.
